The Grand Prix weekend

The Grand Prix of San Marino and the Rimini Riviera is run at the Misano World Circuit «Marco Simoncelli» from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September 2026. It is not a trade fair, but for the riviera it is the event that most resembles one: for three days the coast from Rimini to Cattolica fills with fans, and rooms sell out months ahead.

The circuit is about 25 km from the hotel, a little over half an hour by car along the main road or the motorway. By train you reach Riccione or Misano Adriatico and continue on the shuttles laid on for the weekend.

Where to stay for the Misano MotoGP

The area immediately around the circuit, on a race weekend, is where prices are highest and traffic worst. Viserba sits on the opposite side of Rimini: you reach the circuit in half an hour and come back in the evening to a quiet stretch of coast.

Hotel Criniera d’Oro is a family-run three-star hotel, in the Perazzini family since 1950. There is the covered underground garage (at extra cost), available at extra cost, connected by lift, the sweet and savoury buffet breakfast, from 7:30 to 11:30 served early for anyone wanting to be at the circuit in the morning, free Wi-Fi and rooms with a private terrace or balcony. On request we prepare a packed lunch for the day at the track.

And September in Viserba is still summer: the beach is 180 metres away, with the partner beach club in front of the hotel. Travelling as a couple or with family, it makes a weekend that works for whoever is not going to the circuit too.
